PBA.com visitors who have not yet subscribed to its online video service Xtra Frame will now be able to take advantage of a free promotional offer to watch the United States Bowling Congress Masters Feb. 8-14.

More and more bowling fans are tuning into Xtra Frame to get unprecedented coverage and live streaming of Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour events. In fact, subscriptions to Xtra Frame have increased 44 percent since it rolled out last fall.

Those who take advantage of the free USBC Masters coverage offer will also be able to tune into Xtra Frame’s SportCenter-style news program PBA: 39x60 which provides exclusive pre- and post-finals coverage.

And, not only will fans get expanded Masters coverage, they will also be able to check out hundreds of hours of archived bowling programming during “free week.”

To take advantage of the free offer, users will need to install a free Silverlight software program. Here’s how users can watch next week:

· First, make sure that Silverlight is installed. It is a free download from Microsoft. To get the latest version go to: http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx

· Once a user has downloaded and installed Silverlight successfully they can go to

http://xtraframe.pba.com/.

·Users can watch any video on the Xtra Frame site. The live streaming will load up in the main video slot automatically. It can be refreshed by hitting “play” or by clicking on the link in the top right corner when on the “new” tab.

Is Xtra Frame being hammered or what. Every time there is a free trial everything just comes a hault and you get about a 10-20 percent uptime because it is trying to buffer the whole time. This happens whether I am on a cable, T1, or T3 lines connecting to the site.

@grbsr,

Here's a link to Xtra Frame FAQ's: http://xtraframe.pba.com/Support.aspx

A lot of viewers have reported finding a solution to their problem on this page.  If there isn't anything that helps, there's also a support email address that you can use listed at the bottom of the page.  The support staff is great at trouble shooting browser issues.

I watched Xtra frame this week and it's neat, but not something I would pay for.  If it was free, the PBA would make more money.  The place to make revenue online is from advertising, not membership fees.
