Here are SIX reasons to watch ESPN for the GEICO PBA Team Shootout hosted by Six Flags which gets underway from Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ on Sunday June 21 at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Eastern.
1. Out of the three Six Flags sites used so far in this series, (Six Flags St. Louis in 2007, Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Ill. in 2008) this year’s Six Flags Great Adventure is the best setup and location within the park yet. A spectacular two-lane bowling stage is set and bowling fans stream in for the action.
2. Team Lumber Liquidators (Parker Bohn III, Pete Weber, Mike Scroggins, Walter Ray Williams Jr., Norm Duke and Steve Jaros) possibly the finest bowling team ever assembled with a grand total of 156 Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour victories between them.
3. For the first time in the history of televised bowling, announcers Rob Stone and Randy Pedersen have the ability to talk directly to players during the action.
4. Mike J. Laneside gets to work with Wonder Woman, a career highlight.
5. Classic battles of the three distinct eras of PBA superstars with the aforementioned Team Lumber Liquidators all-time greats, Team GEICO (Chris Barnes, Patrick Allen, Brad Angelo, Mika Koivuniemi, Wes Malott and Mike Wolfe) representing talented contemporary players and Team Bayer (Tommy Jones, Jason Belmonte, Mike Fagan, Bill O’Neill, Rhino Page and Sean Rash) featuring the next generation of PBA All-Stars.
6. Six Flags of course, more flags, more bowling, more fun!
