Mohr Living The Dream in PBA Senior Northern California Classic

by PBA Editor June 29, 2008 19:00
After the completion of the first day of qualifying, Ron Mohr sits atop the heap setting a torrid pace knocking down 2058 pins in his first eight games.

It wasn’t always this easy for Mohr. In his first PBA event in Jackson, Mich., Mohr finished in 61st place in a field of 160 players. Of course that was before he joined the PBA the next week. After acquiring his PBA card, Mohr has registered finishes of 10th in the USBC Masters, 14th in the PBA Senior U.S. Open and 11th in the PBA Epicenter Classic.

This week he is the tournament leader and “Living The Dream”! With a top finish in this tournament and couple more exceptional performances in the two remaining events in Hammond, Ind., and Decatur, Ill., Mohr could find himself being named the 2008 PBA Senior Tour Rookie of the Year. He plans to bowl both barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Mohr is humble and shares his early success and his dream of being on the PBA Senior Tour. “Thanks to my wife Linda who has been so supportive during my first year. I obviously had a good look today and was able to carry a bit. I hope to keep it going tomorrow”, said Mohr.

Ron Mohr and the B Squad bowlers return tomorrow at 8 a.m. PST for their final eight games of qualifying. A Squad is set to return at 1 p.m.
