The PBA announced today the list of 14 Denny’s PBA Tour All-Stars fans can vote for to earn the final spot in the 2007 Motel 6 Roll to Riches, a special postseason event which features a winner-take-all $150,000 top prize.

The Motel 6 Roll to Riches will be contested Thursday, April 5 at 7 p.m. EST at Sequoia Pro Bowl in Columbus, Ohio. The show will air on ESPN as two back-to-back one hour shows on Sunday, April 15 from 1-2 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. EST.

The list includes the top 14 players in the 2006-07 PBA World Point Rankings who have not won a Major event this season, including two-time defending champion Chris Barnes. The 14 bowlers from the point rankings include Patrick Allen, Chris Barnes, Parker Bohn III, Jason Couch, Tommy Delutz Jr., Mike DeVaney, Norm Duke, Tommy Jones, Mika Koivuniemi, Wes Malott, Bill O’Neill, Mike Scroggins, Ryan Shafer, Walter Ray Williams Jr.

Voting on the PBA’s official website, www.pba.com, will begin Sunday, March 25 at 2 p.m. EST and end Saturday, March 31 at 5 p.m. EST. The All-Star winner will be announced during the 2007 PBA Tournament of Champions live ESPN telecast Sunday, April 1 at 1 p.m. EST.

The bowler with the most votes will join the four winners of this season’s Denny’s PBA Tour Major events as well as the leader in the 2006-07 PBA World Point Rankings at season’s end, in a high stakes, winner-take-all event which will give the winner $150,000. The four Denny’s PBA Tour major winners include:

- Doug Kent, winner of the 2006 USBC Masters.
- Pete Weber, winner of the 64th U.S. Open.
- Winner of the 2007 Denny’s World Championship, Sunday, March 25
- Winner of the 2007 PBA Tournament of Champions, Sunday, April 1

If one of the 14 bowlers on the ballot wins this weekend’s 2007 Denny’s World Championship, their name will be removed from the fan vote along with the leader in the PBA World Point Rankings at week’s end. If the leader in the point rankings wins the one of the final two events, then the next-highest bowler in the point rankings will earn a spot in the event.

If a nominee wins the 2007 PBA Tournament of Champions and wins the voting, the second-highest vote-getter will earn a berth in the Motel 6 Roll to Riches.

The live ESPN televised finals of the 2007 Denny’s World Championship takes place Sunday, March 25 at 2 p.m. EST from the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Mich.
