Five members of the Buffalo Bills - Lee Evans
Mario Haggan, Gibran Hamdan, Justin Jenkins and Rian Lindell – will join exempt bowlers from the Denny’s PBA Tour Wednesday night at AMF Thruway Lanes in Cheektowaga, N.Y., for the Etonic Championship Pro-Am at 7 p.m. EST.
The Pro-Am coincides with the 2007 Etonic Championship, the fourth stop on the 2007-08 Denny's PBA Tour, which begins Thursday morning and runs through Sunday's live ESPN televised finals at 1 p.m. EST.
Evans, a wide receiver who participated in last year’s Pro-Am at AMF Thruway Lanes, was drafted in the first round by the Bills in 2004. The Wisconsin graduate established the team’s single-game receiving record with 265 yards at Houston last season, which also was the top performance in the NFL in 2006 and was the highest in the league since 2000. Through his first three seasons, Evans has more receptions (178), yards (2,878) and receiving touchdowns (24) than any receiver in team history.
Haggan, a linebacker from Mississippi State, played an integral role in the Bills special teams units over the past two seasons, leading the team in special teams tackles each of the last two seasons. Hamdan, a quarterback, and Jenkins, a wide receiver, were both signed by the Bills this season after spending time in NFL Europe.
Lindell, a nine-year NFL veteran kicker, holds the Bills record with an 83.04 career field goal percentage, making 93 of his 112 attempts. He has not missed an extra point attempt in his career, making all 224 attempts, and is just the second player in NFL history to start his career with a streak that long.
Three more Etonic Championship Pro-Ams will be held at AMF Thruway Lanes Saturday at Noon, 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. EST.
Fans interested in bowling in Wednesday or Saturday’s Etonic Championship Pro-Ams should contact AMF Thruway Lanes at 734-946-9092.
